I would agree that math and science classes are necessary. However, I think if you can take any robotics, programming, or other related classes would be a bonus. Lastly, please check out First Robotics in your area and get involved if you can because colleges and companies support this huge program that utilizes mechanical and electrical engineering principles. Its also a great way to make friends with other engineering students and get exposure from colleges/companies who often offer scholarships and jobs post college for participants.
