As a Vet, you work with both the pets and their owners, and you also might be responsible for supervising your employees, unless you can hire an office manager to do that. If you prefer animals over people, I'd suggest looking into being a zookeeper. Try doing an internship at both a vet clinic and a zoo, to decide which you like best before committing yourself to 8-10 years of college to become a vet.
