Erinn’s Answer

Burn out. Most people leave the medical field because of burn out. Whether it be the hours, dealing with patients and patients families or seeing the tragic stuff people in the medical field see.
It is so important to check in with yourself as often as you can, to make sure you are not getting burnt out.
The medical field is incredibly challenging, but it is also incredibly rewarding.

Rachel’s Answer

Many older physicians leave the medical field because the burden of the administrative tasks becomes too great. A large amount of time is required for documentation and coding. For physicians that don't know how to use an electronic medical record well, these tasks can take a huge toll.
