What is the advancement potential in the field?
I’m a senior student in San Antonio, Tx. I’m interested in working in the medical field i’m undecided on a specific career but i would prefer to work with animals. I’m very corporative and work well with others and I would like to work with a close team. #animals field #career #medicine

I am not a medical field practitioner, however from what I've heard from people I know in the field, there is advancement potential in the medical/veterinary field. You can study to become a practitioner. After that you could look to open your own practice. If you have specific areas you are more interested in, you can become a specialist for that particular area. You can study further in those spaces.
Find someone who works in the medical/veterinary field
Ask if you can sit with them to discuss what you'd like to know about the field

Most veterinarians I know are also small business owners. Some have a very small practice where they treat and operate a few hours every day and have a good emphasis on work-life balance. Others operate large scale practices where they travel to farms across their state managing large groups of animals on industrial farms. Ultimately it depends on what kind of practice you want to half. I’m not a veterinarian, but I believe that could be a very fulfilling career.
