if you could start all over again, would you change your career path in any way? Why?

I’m a brennan student at brennan high school and I am interested in going into physical therapy. I am interested in how the body works and how the body can heal itself. #physical-therapy #medicine

Hindsight is always 20/20. And almost everyone if they looked back would see things they would want to do differently. But "looking" in a Rearview mirror is very different from switching tracks actually in your career! In general the first 3-4 years are a "Discovery" phase where most people tend to experiment with career paths. But after that window it can be extremely costly and is unusual to switch career path radically.

Practically, the option of starting all over again is quite rare. It can happen only in very disruptive circumstances such as losing your current job, failure in business, or a current situation which is not making you happy. If you already have 3+ years of experience, then starting again and choosing a radically different career path, can mean that a lot of experience may go to waste. However, if you are deciding to follow on a something you are very passionate about and confident in your ability long term, then it's good option to change. However, for most people passion is not something which you can find in a treasure hunt. It takes investment of time and effort to find your passion. Thus, just jumping from one path to another should not be take lightly. There are as many career paths as there are people in the world. The best is to focus not on how much you like or dislike something, rather how focused you can be and Excel in whatever path is already laid out. You can carve your own path in whichever field, so it's helpful to start down a well trodden path and as you gain confidence and skills , you can start getting off it and then there are no limits.
