Hi Jaden,
Typically at the beginning of the semester the college or university will host an activities fair where each club and sports team will be represented by members who have a table you can approach to sign up and learn more about what the club entails. Most colleges and universities have a central location students hang out at. As an example, my school had an outdoor quad everyone hung out on during good weather and student center with a student lounge indoors. In addition weekend events are typically always hosted and promoted by the school. Whether it be a friday night/saturday or sunday afternoon sports game, some time of game night, or trip to the movies/mall something should be planned each weekend you can choose to participate in. Otherwise, hang out with friends, roommates, and classmates!
I noticed you commented about attending a large university. You will certainly be able to find your niche within it. College truly is what you make of it so no matter where you end up you'll be able to have fun - good luck!

Usually students would hangout with friends that you meet on college campus or you can join some IM sport teams which are inter mural sports, join clubs or organizations to your liking or even find classes that tailor to your hobbies or interests.
Something that I did during my time at undergrad was join a political organization for Latinx folx because I identified as Latinx, where we would talk about similar obstacles that we have overcame and then we would go out and eat together

During the first few weeks your college may have some activities already planned. For instance, we had a concert one weekend and a local news personality stop by to talk to us another weekend. I'd suggest you stop by your Student Center to see what activities they may have and are aware of. Don't forget to explore your local community and stay safe. When I was in college I participated in extra curricular activities and tagged along with my friends and roommate to the mall, movies and a few parties. Here's a brief list of things to do.
• Volunteerism
• Sports (whatever is offered at your school or local community)
• Join Clubs and Organizations
• Concerts
• Movies
• Mall
Enjoy your time at college!
