Cyber Security is a vague term. There are so many topics in it. It is good that you are doing internship, you will get to see how your mentor do it. Read books, do your own research on the topic, your mentor tell you about. But at the end you have to choose the topic in which you need to continue studying like web application security or Software security. Different fields ask for different knowledge. I have my blog on security, I write walkthroughs mostly. Visit if you like: www.anonhack.in .

Hi Ahmad,

Cyber security is a really strong subject and has a lot of scope for growth. Since you have just started interning, i would say that shadow your mentor properly and try to learn as much as you can from them. Practical knowledge is much more useful than the book knowledge.

But yes along with shadowing your mentor in company, try to read books on Cyber security, do case studies on threat defecnce.

you can refer these books : https://www.cyberdb.co/10-cybersecurity-books-2018/

Thank you comment icon Thank you for your input. I always thought as well what you do in the field can be a little different than what a book would say you should do Ahmad
