To try and help here I think you are asking what is the point of moving careers - like doing one job and then retraining to do something completely different. Please let me know if that's the question.
Well, if it is there are many reasons- I have sort of done that in my career, I started as a Public Policy Specialist, then went into big data analytics and now leverage both in a customer success role. In this way changing careers can almost be the same as changing companies. Where you work, who you work with and how you do your job changes. It is about looking at the opportunities you have at each stage and taking the step that feels right to you.
When you're starting out commit to one - get good at it and then look at the steps you can take. There will be options that come from any and all experiences you've had to date
