I remember being in middle school and wanting to be a doctor. Looking back, it was a very long road, and there will be times we are tired and worn out I’m questioning if the medicine is the best career for you. During these times it’s good to have good memories and good experiences to pull from. Even though it can be very exciting to focus on medicine, take this time to also be with your friends and family. They will be a source of happiness and support through good and bad times.

Judy’s Answer
Hi Marialena,
My name is Judy and i’ve been a nurse for 20 years. You could always check into some hospitals near you to see if they can provide some electives help. Also some humane societies (places that take in animals) offer ways to get high school electives by volunteering with walking dogs, helping veterinarians. Let me know if I can help you with ideas.
