Are there too many or few people entering this profession?
I’m a senior student in San Antonio, Tx. I’m interested in working in with animals. I’m still undecided on a career. I’m very corporative and work well with others and I would like to work with a close team. #animals #medicine field #career #career-choice

Hi Monica,
You question is very broad to be answered in a more direct way. You may have done your research but if not start with this

Another option is visiting nearby veterinarians (like for cats and dogs) or go by the wildlife ranch near Natural Bridge to see if you can talk folks over there to get a more one-on-one view of careers with animals. Once you get a more better picture then you can focus on what each career needs education wise and professionally.
There are many websites out their to help you out. I personally prefer this one https://www.careeronestop.org/ExploreCareers/explore-careers.aspx as I think this gives more realistic spread of expected salaries. Also don't forget this are just gross values. At end of the day you still need to consider taxes and cost of living (you can checkout NerdWallet or Smart Asset to get a idea).
Hope this helps.

No, I think if you have skills and a passionate interest that it will not matter how many people are entering the profession. Follow your heart and get the proper education and you will succeed.
Much luck,
