Jekaterina’s Answer
Personally, I find it hard to say what is best since there are so many fields that are truly interesting and exciting. Some key areas I would highlight:
- Strategic planning & resource management
- Project management and change management
- Operations management
My passion is with Operations, Change Management, planning and managing processes at scale, so I can speak from experience this is a dynamic field that has a lot of opportunities in.
I would encourage to get started with learning about different industries and reflect on:
- what is most interesting for you
- what are your values
- where your strengths are
and based on that look for the best fit. I would also encourage to have regular development conversations with you manager and/or mentor who can support you in going into right direction based on specific circumstances.

No field is the best, it depends on which criteria you choose. For example the best in terms of high paid, yield, stable development, working environment... Look at the the statistic of the increasing flow of investment recently, you will see that healthcare and technology is very promising. However if you may set up your business in the future, FMCG (fast moving consuming goods) could recommend which sector you should do in business management. Consumer spending is account for more than 30% of GDP of The United States which means the money from customer is very important. You should ask question more specifically so that I can answer you better.

Hello Carmyn - I agree with Jekaterina, it is difficult to recommend a single field.
The role of business management is very broad in that every organization from technology and financial services, to consumer products and non-profits leverage some form of planning, analysis and decision making - government included.
If you are interested in planning, administration, data analysis and using information to help drive business decisions then a role in business management may be for you. Understanding that this type of role can be performed in almost any organization, I would recommend letting your personal interests drive you to your 'best' field - hope this helps.
