Any college that has a nursing program will get you into the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) . The hospitals requirements is the variable in becoming a NICU nurse. Some hospitals will hire you straight into NICU from college. This is typically of larger teaching hospitals. Smaller hospitals my require so previous experience before hiring you into the unit. Check into hospitals you are looking to work at. The educator, manager or even HR should be able to feel you in on potential employment requirements. Best of luck.
