Most PTs that I know work more than one job to help pay down school debt. Most typically work M-F for 40 hours (either five 8.5-hour days, or four 10.5 hour days) and then pick up at least two weekend shifts every month at another facility, like an acute care hospital or a sub-acute rehab facility. I work in pediatrics and (pre-COVID) work 4 days a week in a pediatric outpatient facility and two half-days teaching at a University. I spent seven years working weekends at an acute care hospital, but I'm taking a break from that at the moment.
