As an engineer the attitudes I would want to portray;
1) Constant hunger and passion for learning. As an engineer, you constantly want to grow and improve on yourself.
2) Humility. No matter how good an engineer you are, or how smart, humility makes you more respected and approachable.
3) Sharing attitude, when you start off, you obviously want to learn as much as you can. however once you start getting comfortable in the role, start sharing your knowledge. You'll find you will learn a lot more when you teach someone.
4) Challenge yourself, this is almost a sub point of point 1, if you are too comfortable in the role, you will stop growing as an engineer.
many more points, but these are my top 4
