Hello,
To find a career, try researching jobs in the area of your personal interests. For example if you love to read, look into a degree or job path that could end up as a librarian, bookseller etc. If you like helping people you may want to consider becoming a nurse, doctor, customer service representative the list goes on. I would also advise looking at the type of career in terms of money making ability and job growth potential. I have always been taught to do what makes me happy. That is most important but you also want to be able to provide a great life for yourself and family. Do your best at whatever you decide. No job is unimportant!

Beth’s Answer

Think about what things you like to do and why, including subjects at school and what you like to do in your free time.
If you like reading, what is it about reading- is it the story or learning about new things?
If you like being outside in nature, what fascinates you about it? Is it the trees or the ever-changing weather or how things are connected and interdependent?
Then use that information to explore different career options using those interests.
Even if you find that you have several things you are interested in that may seem unrelated, you can usually find some commonality and build upon that.

Erika’s Answer

Hi,

My suggestion would be to research different careers. Where possible, if you know anyone in the career ask what they like and do not like about it.

Focus on your strengths. ( ie if you like working with people, maybe HR is a career to research)

Remember to be flexible! I started with a Business and Marketing degree. I now work in Process Improvement. All the skills I learnt in this degree all help me in this role. So any type of skills gained
