Hi, great question. Most film programs that are reputable are attached to colleges and universities. A great place to see what the film industry considers as great film schools would be to check out the Hollywood Reporter ‘s list of the top 25 film schools. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lists/top-25-american-film-schools-ranked-1134785. I would suggest you check out this list and go to the colleges website to get more detail.
There are are other schools such as New York Film academy that provide training. Please note that some or all of your credit from training schools may not be accepted by accredited universities and colleges if you choose to transfer to a university or college at any point in your academic career. Part of the reason, is because a college degree unlike a training degree requires other core courses besides film classes.
Wherever you attend school for film, it is critical that you intern while studying beginning in your freshman year. Your internships will be your ticket into a job in the industry when you graduate.
Good luck!
