It depends. If you are gonna join a job by only seeing the monetary benefits and don't really enjoying doing it, you are not gonna succeed. Though Teacher salary is pretty decent one but the 15 days holidays you get after each term is nothing compared to anything. Plus later stage of your life if you choose to have kids, you can give more attention to your kids/family. Plus you get 2 months OFF in Dec/Jan every Year.

This is a really great question. It is important for anyone considering teaching or any other profession to think about their personal financial needs and the needs of those who might depend on them financially. A person considering whether a particular field pays "enough" should think about their lifestyle and what is they like to do with their money?
In addition, when considering a career individuals should think about the things they value. For example, do you value your time? Do you value personal space? What does respect look like to you? These are just sample questions to consider when considering teaching as a profession. You will want to think of questions to ask yourself to help you better determine if a balance exists between what you value and the potential salary.

Hi Kyle, I was able to live on my salary when I was a single person. Once I married and had children, I did get a small part time job - usually tutoring after school. I think you can live on the salary and even enjoy a few splurges like an expensive item or trip.
When you're thinking about any salary being enough, always consider the bills you must pay - rent, car, utilities, food, etc. If you can budget your money and stick to the budget, you can live on most salaries.
