Even though it's scary to be leaving all of your friends, think of this as an opportunity to start fresh. There will be lots of new friends to make at your new school, and lots of new things to try. You can be whoever you want to be.

Be yourself and try and find ways to do things you enjoy. You will end up meeting people who have similar interests. Also, try and keep in touch with your friends back at home. Do not get discouraged if you do not make new friends immediately the right people are going to come at the right time!!

Be yourself! Join a club or group that interests you. It may be scary to start something new, but it happens in life. Take it one day at a time.

Simeon’s Answer
Find your niche of people and focus on getting to know them and be a good friend. Don't worry too much about your high school connections as most of those tend to fade away once you get to college, with the exception of the closest friendships. Find a few people you feel safe with and stick to them and maybe find a club that you can use to get comfortable with teamwork and leadership in.

Jillian’s Answer
I went away to school and moved away from family and friends. It was a great opportunity to learn about other people and yourself. I never knew I was capable of starting over but I did it and it helped me as an adult as well. I'm not afraid to go new places on my own because I know I will be successful and figure out how to be happy. It's scary but totally worth it - you can't have too many friends. Be open and try new things!
