I enjoy operating on a patient and providing an almost immediate fix to what was previously a life-threatening problem. There is great satisfaction that comes with taking a person from "cancer patient" to "survivor".

Radiology is an exciting and dynamic field. For me personally, the procedures are the most exciting. For example, we recently introduced Y-90 radioembolization at our hospital. This provides a new opportunity to treat liver cancers and prolong lives.

The part of being a physician I find most enjoyable is having conversations with my patient's and their families about events in their lives. You can tell the difference it makes when you show interest in individuals more than just what medical ailment may have brought them through the door.
