There are absolutely negatives to every job out there, I am sure! In my field, of HR, you need to strike a balance between getting caught up in emotions and advising associates/leaders on difficult situations - whether it is a layoff, an associate performance discussion, or an associate that may be having psychological issues. You want to put yourself in their shoes, and empathize, but not get caught up in the roller coaster, to the point that it starts to affect your mood or state of mind.
On the flip side, I am energized when I see an associate who is excited about their future; or when you challenge a leader to think differently. I live for those "development" moments.
Every job will have a negative, but finding and following your passion will make those events more tolerable.

There can be negatives working in Human Resources like working with upset employees or having to let an employee go. However, the negatives outweigh the positives. There are so many positives in Human Resources like helping someone reach their dream career, welcoming new employees to the company, helping employees when they are going through a difficult time and so much more. I would not let the negatives prevent you from following a dream career.
