There are a few types of therapy, with some of the most common ones being physical and mental. In general, both of those provide you with guidance and tools to solve your problems. Mental Therapy allows you an outlet for emotions and equips you with tools you need to handle every day life. Physical therapy provides you with tools to handle strains on your body. Both are useful in providing you with insight, but you have to put work in and communicate with professionals in either of those fields to improve on yourself.

Hi Hailey!
What kind of therapy are you referencing?
I would say with most kinds of therapy (mental health, physical, occupational, etc) the best thing about it is the flexibility of the populations you can work with.
You have the opportunity to work in a hospital, prison, school, clinic, private practice, long-term care facility, etc in any of these therapies. Your options are very open. I would suggest working with different groups of folks in different settings to decide which is the best fit for you.
