Debbie Yoro’s Answer

In private practice I work with mostly adults who have depression, anxiety, chronic illness, grief or in a life transition. At a job I see people of all ages including their spouses, children, parents or partners. As you start to work with a variety of people you can narrow down your interest and passion.

Put yourself in front of different populations, ages and settings. Get to know who you'd like to help in your community. Do volunteer work or work at shelters, medical centers, churches, schools, etc. Talk to people about why or how they chose their career.

Good luck!

Sikawayi’s Answer

Hello Hailey, great question well to be honest most of my clients are people of faith. These are people who don't believe they can tell their families what they really think and feel. Most of their problems are the same they are tired and burnt out and they just need a break. Best of luck

Annie’s Answer

I work with mostly children ages 3-17.

My job also has clients from 18 up. It’s all preference and/or what population you are trained to work with.

Good luck!!
