Steve’s Answer

Typically, a radiology technologist (or rad tech) has two to four years of schooling leading to an associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology. Rad techs may also earn specialized certificates in areas such as CT or MRI.

Janna’s Answer

I worked at a community college in the NYC area for years with a very good radiology programs. Students who graduated were in high demand by area hospitals with an associate degree, which is designed to be completed in 2 years full time, though some students take longer. Entry level jobs in this field paid fairly well. Many community colleges offer this degree and are very affordable or even free for students who qualify for full financial aid, so I think it's a great career plan.
