Tristen’s Answer

Hi there!

RN’s have to be trustworthy, honest, have great time management & critical thinking skills. Nurses have to be punctual and selfless. Thinking of the needs of others allows you to have the compassion needed.

Edward’s Answer

Hi Haley,

That is a really good question. There are some specific requirements you can meet to become prepared for a career in nursing. There are college degrees that are specifically tailored to prepare you for Nursing. You can start by searching for "Nursing undergraduate degrees" and finding a school that you might like. Most programs will teach out about Micro-biology, Anatomy and Physiology and some psychology courses as well. Really good programs will also have programs that will allow you to practice as you learn by partnering with hospitals. If you want to get some experience working along side a nurse before you complete your classes, you can get your CNA (certified nursing assistant) certification so you can work in the field and meet people that can help you as you continue down your path in nursing. It is a great career path with a lot of opportunities and it can really be impactful to all sorts of different people.

Good luck!
