By saying "finish your career faster", I am assuming you are talking about pursuing financial freedom or achieving the "expert" credential as a mechanic.

Financial Freedom options:

1) A scalable startup in your industry
2) After a few years of working for someone, starting your own automobile repair shop
3) Intense saving and then reinvesting into real estate or the stock market

All of these options must be weighed in with risk/reward in mind and also what you are capable of. A successful real estate broker once told me to just know what I would like to feel in 10 years and just pursue that "feeling". Everything else will just fall into place. I personally always set goals which are subject to change as I learn more.
