Genola’s Answer

Hi Heslina !

Nursing can be an exciting and rewarding career. With that being said, most nurses make a decent salary. However, your pay will be based on a few things,

1) Degree level (Associates, Bachelors, Masters)

2) Experience level

3) The state and county you decide to work in

Genola recommends the following next steps:

Google different hospitals where you stay for their current nurses salary; read the requirements (degree and experience)
Use bls.gov for current and expected salaries for nurses.

Preeya’s Answer

Hi Heslina!

The average per hour income for a nurse in the United States is about $32 an hour. If a nurse works 40 hours a week, they will likely make about $50,000 - $60,000 a year. As Genola said, this is dependent on location and level of education. I agree with her recommendation to google expectations and salaries!
