Education wise you should get a Bachelors or Associates Degree in Nursing. Skills, you need to be patient, caring, not squeamish, and good with people.

Got this from a family member who is in the nursing field...Nursing assistants take vital signs, feed, bathe, and dress patients, serve meals, make beds, clean rooms, set up medical equipment and help with dome procedures, answer calls for help, and observe changes in patients condition or behavior.

An Associates Degree or a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.

There are many different jobs for RN’s, but you do need some clinical experience or more education to get certain jobs. Advanced practice nurses (nurse anesthetist, clinical practice nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives), Leaders and Administrators, Non traditional nurses (Forensic medicine, Legal Nurse Consultants, Home Health Nurses, Public Health Nurses, Nurse that work at insurance companies), Nurses that work in different specialties ( Acute Care, Geriatric, etc. )
