Rose’s Answer

Hi Fabian, planning out your career is an going process.  Just because you land a job, doesn't mean that you stop planning.  In fact, I have been in the insurance industry and I'm still planning on how to improve myself and what the next step is in my career.  If you are serious about getting ahead, you need to always be planning what your next career move is.  It is definitely not a once and done thing.  What are you studying?

With the technology advance and growing lifetime expectation, new tools, concepts and abilities will be required everyday . You may have 2,3 or more different careers during your life and for that long life learning will be essential.
Good luck :)

Jessica’s Answer

Career planning is something that will change and continue to change as you go through the life of your career. You generally start with an idea of what you want to be and what you want to study, but it can evolve from there. Each experience in a career or just life in general could lead down a new path or a completely different one. My advice to you is to start where your passion is and follow your heart. Try not to look for a job just because of the salary and look for something that will make your heart happy. This way, you will enjoy going to work every day and not be constantly looking for the next big thing. You also might just luck out and find something that follows your passion as well as makes your wallet full. :) Do not be afraid to take a chance on something. You never know where it might lead you.

Jessica recommends the following next steps:

If you are not sure as to what you want to do, there are many assessments you can take to help target certain areas.
