Hi Aylin,
There are many different types of certifications you could take and it will ultimately depend upon what you would like to specialize in. Hopefully the below helps give you an idea of some of them.
Technical Certifications
- Cisco Certifications - demonstrate your knowledge of Cisco products (including networking, Cisco Data Center solutions and network security.)
- Google Cloud Certifications or Google Developer Certifications - prove your knowledge of using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and developing Android applications.
- VMware Certifications - show your knowledge designing, implementing, supporting virtualization technologies.
- Microsoft Certifications - as a developer, administrator, consultant or architect of solutions.
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certifications - how to look for weaknesses in systems lawfully.
- Dell EMC Certifications - various certifications on cloud, hyper-converged/converged offerings, networking, servers, storage etc..
- Amazon Web Services Certifications - various certifications to show you can design, develop and manage/maintain Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and solutions.
- Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Certifications - general IS/IT security certifications.
Common IT Project/Program Management Certifications
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Certifications - not specific to technology and IT, but used in the technology industry to deliver IT projects and products.
- SCRUM Certifications - to be part of the DevTeam or be a Scrum Master or Product Owner. Again not specific to technology and IT (but widely used in industry)
- ITIL Certifications - formerly known as IT Infrastructure Library shows you know how companies approach (based on best practice) IT service management, either internally or with customers.
These may take you a long time to work towards but can really pay off in the long run. The reward is you show / prove you are great at what you do and get access to well-paid jobs.

Another approach is to understand what skill sets are needed at the companies you want to work at and pursue those. Do some research on teams and jobs at companies. Speak to people at those companies to get a good idea.
