Jenna’s Answer

Working as a rehab tech is a great place to start in the rehab field. You are basically working as an extra set of hands for the PT/PTA and/or OT/COTA. The salary is relatively low but it’s a great start to get into the field, make connections, help people and build your resume.

Emily’s Answer

Rehab Techs typically make minimum wage (varies by state/region). This is likely not enough to support a family, however it is a good first step toward getting into a PT/OT or PTA/OTA program, which after 2-3 years of schooling and tuition makes a decent living with flexible hours for raising a family
