Karen’s Answer
The benefit packages depend on what company you are looking to work for i.e. outpatient hospital based physical therapy clinics, outpatient private practice clinics, acute care physical therapy in a hospital, or working in home care or a nursing home. Most packages will have coverage for full time employees that include 401K or 403B retirement benefits, health insurance, short term and/or long term disability insurance, paid time off/sick leave, and maternity leave/FMLA. Some companies offer these for part time employees as well.
Whether you are currently looking for a job or not, familiarize yourself with the above listed benefits
Ask how your benefits will change with seniority in the company ie paid time off accural
Ask if there is paid continuing education
