Yalanda’s Answer

In the United States students are required to have a decient to high grade point average called a (GPA). A GPA is earned by getting scores/grades for work they do on a subject they study in a class. The point average for a GPA are 1.0,2.0,3.0 and 4.0. These equal a grade typically 1.0=D, 2.0=C, 3.0=B and 4.0=A. A GPA of say, 3.0 and 4.0 are the best to have for most college entrance. This is only part of the requirements, another part is taking a national pre college tests called SAT/ACT. The scores you get qualify you for the entrance requirements for colleges a score of 1400 is considered competitive, while a score of 1050 (math & English) should get you accepted to many colleges in the U.S. These get you in a college. Many hours of study and perfect class attendance and getting good grades are qualifications to help you graduate and earn a degree in college. Here are some websites to visit. My granddaugher is working on completing her high school requirements and recently passed a required state exam, she can now focus on college preparation and college visit as she decides on her future career goals. https://www.thoughtco.com/are-your-sat-scores-good-enough-788673

Simeon’s Answer

Generally, grades determine whether you are accepted to colleges. Also, participation in local organizations, school groups, and extra curricular activities is commonly seen as a bonus as well.

Ron’s Answer

To simply attend scheduled classes and stay out of trouble. To be considering college you would have had.to graduated highschool and apply for schools that you are interested in. Acceptance is based off of your GPA ( grade point average) and if you are doing well.you can even apply for scholarships. Good luck!
