Hi Emily
when you travel frequently for work. The most important aspect is planning ahead and managing your free time. sometimes you will need to block time for my family during evenings and at weekends to ensure that I can maintain a healthy work/life balance!
bear in mind also when you accept that there will be compromises You time would need to be re-prioritized to ensure you are able to meet you family and work commitments

Hi Emily
The lifestyle changes you experience when transitioning from school to full-time employment can vary greatly, depending on the field of work you get into. For me, as a Financial Analyst for a large financial institution, I don't expect to travel for work frequently. If I were a sales person, on the other hand, I would likely be expected to travel frequently for business. If you enjoy travelling, you may want to pursue a career that allows you to do so. Regarding working late, again I would say this depends on the field of work, but can still vary greatly from company to company, or even between teams within a company. Personally, I work regular 9am to 5pm hours, which gives me an excellent work-life balance. Other companies may expect employees to work longer hours. This should definitely be a consideration of yours when pursuing a career or company. I knew I would be comfortable with a regular 8 to 9 hour workday, and I think that contributes to my happiness and satisfaction with my job. I hope this helps; this is a good question to consider when thinking about your career.
Best,
Jacob
