What’s it like to be a nurse in the emergency room? #calminstressfulsituations
I really enjoy helping people out, I know a lil but about working in an emergency room. I’m good at staying calm in stressful situations. #nurse #healthcare

I knew I would love it and I did for 13 years! I think adrenaline people work well in the ED. You must want to be in a team and have a deep passion for both the human body and for people and their circumstances. Everyday is different. You have the opportunity to see so much, really help those in their time of need and then move on to something new. It isn't for everyone but it can be a great experience. Good luck!

ER nurses treat patients who are suffering from trauma, injury or severe medical conditions and require urgent treatment. Since these specialists work in crisis situations, they must be able to quickly identify the best way to stabilize patients and minimize pain.
They work as part of a team with physicians, other nurses and healthcare professionals to provide care, monitor health conditions, plan long-term care needs, administer medicine, use medical equipment, perform minor medical operations, and advise patients and their families on illness, care and continued care.

However There are several reasons as to why nursing is a good career choice.
