You have made a statement of what you would like to do in life and that is to help others who might be hurting and also to not hurt others. So this is a beautiful place to begin your search for a career that you would feel passionate about.
Nursing is a great choice! But a career as a doctor, EMT, firefighter, teacher or professor and countless other choices would fulfill your desire to help others.
Begin by asking yourself what it is you really like to do in life?
Volunteer in different "helping" agencies. See what clicks.
If in high school, maintain a good GPA and study some languages and sciences....this will help you to get into your college of choice.
Again, you want to help. The question is; how do you want to help?
