Was it worth it to do a lot of college to get into the medical field?
I always wanted to go into the medical field and be a nurse practitioner or something else, but I want to be exposed to more options that I’m not thinking of. #nursing #doctor #college #medicine #isitworthit

HI,
It depends on what you mean by lots of college and also depends on how far you want to go in your career. Becoming a physician takes a long time (11-13 years) but it's also very rewarding. Being a Nurse practitioner or a physician assistant is also very rewarding(4- 6years). Its just depends on what route you want to go. The questions you need to ask your self is how long do you want to spend in school, how important is flexibility and work life balance to you. How much autonomy do you want when practicing? There are really alot of moving parts. It's worth spending along time is school if you want to be an expert at what you do. Especially when is comes to taking care of people's lives.
