What are some good ways to get on-the-job training with forensic psychology with little to no experience
I'm a junior perusing a bachelors in Psychology. I'd like to obtain my Masters in Forensic psychology next. What is a good way for me to start gaining experience in the field with no related work experience? #psychology #forensic #career #counseling-psychology

I would think your best next step would be to ask one of your professors or your advisor about opportunities in your area. There may be research studies in which you could participate, or internships for which you can apply. I'm assuming your school offers a Master's degree in FP, and that would be a great place to start. In San Antonio, TX there aren't any forensic programs and it's not my area of expertise, but when I was an undergrad I participated in many research studies for professors who conducted research in my area of interest.

If your college helps with internships, get one. Try doing an internship at a jail. I worked in a jail setting with my Bachelor's and was able to provide life skills groups to people. This job was contracted through a substance use recovery program so also check to see who the jails work with.
