Ron’s Answer

This really is based off of where you want to be and what you are looking to experience in college. Do you like large campuses, or smaller schools for smaller classes. Plenty of good nursing programs, but once you decide on area and size of school , I'm sure that will narrow down choices significantly. Good luck!

The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To answer what is the best college for nursing, I encourage you think about what your needs are and what are your priorities? Cost? Distance from home? Academic Support? Also, what type of degree are you seeking to enter the nursing field?

A lot of this information can be found on-line about schools in your area or farther away.

Generally speaking it may be more cost effective to go to a community college for two years and work on the basics of academics and do as well as you can academically then transfer to a 4year school if you are looking to gain a BSN, or a Bachelor's degree in nursing.

You might want to think further about what type of life you are looking for. You can also look up jobs on Indeed.com or Monster.com and see what the general pay is in your area for different level of jobs. Then think about what level of education you are interested in working toward.

The earlier in your life that you seek formal education, the easier it may be for you. The contrary is also true. If you wait to work on furthering your education, it may be more challenging to complete your goals. There are always people along the way to help you, once you start college, just ask. If you still aren't sure what to do, just keep asking questions until things become more clear for you.

For example, I went to college and continued on for an advanced degree. I later had a child. Boy, the best thing I ever did in life, but I am so very glad that I was able to get my education done first. I spent many nights reading and doing homework or writing papers. I could not do those things if I had a young child.

I highly encourage you to go on and complete a degree. Don't doubt yourself, just take the steps to see what works for you and keep at it!.
