James’s Answer

No career is easy - being involved in a customer facing job can sometimes be hard because you are dealing with different people on a daily basis. It is rewarding for you as well because of the people you meet and life skills you create along your journey.

Evan’s Answer

Being a customer representative can be easy if you are good or can become good at interacting with others typically over the phone. You have to enjoy and be good at helping others through talking them through how to solve a problem. Make sure that you understand the why for why you are there at wherever you decide to work because if you are not motivated when you go in, it will reflect in your voice and the customer will hear that. Customer service is hard if you don't like or want to answer calls all day, interact with customers and help them solve problems over the phone while making them feel great about the entire experience.

Donnie’s Answer

Customer Service, in any industry, can be a challenging career. There are many different types of customer service jobs. Be they face-to-face or working with customers on the phone, the level of difficulty also matters. Some customer service jobs involve taking reservations, working in a retail position, and technical support. Education and experience also matter when selecting a customer service job. A lot of customer service jobs can be done working from home and only require a high school diploma. I would suggest thinking about what level of customer service you would like to work in and then researching that field. There may be some entry-level positions that will help you get the experience you will need.

Ambrosia’s Answer

That is a wonderful question! It is actually not easy all the time. If you think about it customer care is literally all around you. no matter what. depending on what type of customer care you work with it is pretty different. there is in person customer care like if you worked in a store of some type which you will see them and assist them in person. There is not in person positions like call centers. Which can actually be a little harder since you have to show empathy, and passion over the phone or over text or email. it really depends on what you are positioned at. As long as you treat them with kindness and empathy it is not that hard but you do get the ones that are extremely upset but you have policies in place and empathy goes a long way. Just speak to them with the same respect you would like to be treated with. some customers you will need to break policies down like explaining it to your grandparents, some people need different ways to resolve a situation. Remember the customers are not as familiar with the work policies like us, we see it every day and they do not so sometimes starting at he beginning and rewording your policy goes a long way.
