Hello Alonso,
People advance in these types of jobs through hard work and dedication. There are often times you will be overwhelmed with what you are doing and there will be a lot of deadlines that will have to be met, but it is important to try your best.

Alonso,
First, good for you for finding work that is important to you. It makes all the difference.
Getting ahead usually means:
Doing outstanding work, always, work that is so exceptional your clients can't help but talk about it--ask your clients for feedback to learn if they like your work
Finding measures of excellence, meaning you need to understand what others/competitors are offering and asking clients and these competitors how you stack up
Earning your clients' trust, treating them fairly, honestly, and with respect so they feel comfortable working with you over the long term
Expand your network-the more potential clients you know the more valuable you are.
I hope this answer helps.
Let me know if you have questions, and best of luck.
