Raj’s Answer
This is really important. It can be a quick thank you or longer. Make sure to include the special points that you and the interviewer talked about. This will help you form a connection with them. The personal touch helps a lot - but make sure to keep it professional of course.

Yes, always a good idea to send a thank you note -- sometimes that is what makes you stand out from other candidates. A brief email or better yet, a handwritten note to say how much you appreciated the interviewers time. Also be sure to mention how your values/skills/interests align with the company's mission and/or job requirements. Emphasize how you are flexible and anxious to be part of their organization. Good luck!

Yes. It is not required, but I always recommend a thank you note after an interview. A handwritten note is most impressive. It shows that thought and time was taken to send the note.

Hello, it's not really required nor expected, but it is somehting that can help bring attention to you as a candidate.
Thanking for the interviewer's time while emphasizing strong points of the interview or how after it you feel you are even a better fit / the opportunity sounds ever more exciting.
