Gianna’s Answer

My biggest career goal would be to become successful at my job and to love what I do everyday. My goal is to be a hard-working individual who is successful. The harder you work for something, the more successful you will become. It also is important to be happy and love what you do.

Carole’s Answer

Hi Ella; To be able to designate a Career Goal you must know yourself and be aware of your interests and personality. Here are some ideas: 1.To get a Career goal I would take a Career Assessment to get a better take on what you are interested in and what kind of jobs are available for you to research.2 Along with that you should also take a personality Assessment which will help define some traits in your personality that you did not think about. 3.Your personality and your interests go hand in hand because your personality directs your interests and helps define who you are. 4.Once you have taken these assessments you can start researching some of the careers that you are interested in. In your research progress
there are a couple of books that you can get from the library or book store. I will suggest at the bottom the particular books.5 Another way to get going on your career search is to volunteer somewhere that might help you to figure out you career or job goal, or to ask someone you might know if you can shadow them at work if that is a career that is interesting to you. 6.The colleges have classes that will help you find your special career and that might be something for you to research. 7. Taking the Assessments is what helped me to make the decision to be a Career counselor and I had a great mentor that helped me figure it out. It is so important to do these points and to research the careers that are important to you. I wish you all the best in your research and I believe if you follow these suggestion your will gain some good ideas!
