Anthony’s Answer

Typically it takes a 4 years degree, which can be in any area as long as you take the required courses. Then 2.5 to 3 year program to get your doctorate. To get in you realistically need at least a 3.4 GPA and do well on the GRE, a test you take to get into most grad schools. Being involved in extracurricular activities like volunteering is very helpful.

Dorie’s Answer

I would focus on the sciences in your 4 year college degree. Also if you can volunteer in a physical therapy facility you will have a better idea of what type of practice you might find your passion for. Do you like kids? Sports? The elderly? Ask yourself those types of questions because physical therapists can practice in many different types of settings.
