I would consider a major in biology or Animal Science. These will usually have a course track to meet all the requirements for vet school. The advantage of major like Animal Science is that if you decide that vet school is not in your path or if not accepted to vet school, they prepare you for several careers that would work with animals. Plus from a practical training would offer more classes to help you better prepare for vet school by working with animals.
