Todd’s Answer
I was a maintenance tech in the computer industry for 10 years. I learned everything from robotics, PLC (Programing Logic Controllers), RFID, Hand Scanners, Fix Scanners, motors and much more.
Every day was different and allowed me to interact with the whole factory, in the repairs I did from day to day. I also got to interact with all the operators and managers on the factory floor. My job allowed me to make suggestions and improvements to the factory process where I saw failures. My goal was only fix things once, and if I saw a failure twice I tried to implement something so that failure never happened again. Job was very rewarding.

I am a Facilities Maintenance Technician. I repair and do preventative maintenance on motorized equipment, such as forklifts, pallet Jack's and tuggers. My job is different from day to day. I could be doing a pm and get a call to come and fix a dock door to troubleshooting a cigarette stamping machine for just one of thousand of scenarios.
