Dental Hygienist field is very hot right now. Do you recommend majoring in something else then going back?

To get into school right now is almost a two year wait. Should I go to school for something else now then go back? #Dental

Hi Frannie, yes, I would recommend at least starting school, maybe majoring in a general associates degree and then seeing if you can transfer into a program. You do not want to lose momentum so keep going. Also, look and see if there are other dental hygienst programs in a nearby town that you could maybe get into.

Hi Frannie. Since your situation that needs to wait for 2 years. I highly suggest you continue to go to school for something else to get a bachelor's degree as a basic tool for getting a job for your entire future life. I studied the dental assistant program in a private school, and they have a dental hygienist program too. I mean dental hygienist program is kinda like a certificate program and you can start it anytime in your life stage, and there is no age limitation. Which is different from obtaining a degree from colleges. Hope this can help you.
