Andrea’s Answer
You will need to get your Bachelors degree in Behavior Therapy and a Masters BCBA. While getting both your Masters and Bachelors you will have internship clinical experience. In the meanwhile, I suggest to volunteer at a hospital or mental hospital, in which one of the units specialize in patients who have a neurological disorders. As well, I would familiarize yourself with treatment planners and the DSM 5 on numerological disorders so that going to school will be swift.

In general, clinical experience is any time spent interacting or having to do with patient care. Examples are:
1. drawing blood from patients (i.e. being a phlebotomist)
2. volunteer in a hospital or clinic which allows one to have some patient interaction (not all volunteer positions allow patient interaction due to potential legal issues, so beware)
3. being a physical therapist, nurse or physician
look for opportunities that involve patient interaction or patient care
since most paid positions require prior clinical experience, start as a volunteer
keep in mind that after having clincial experience (dealing with patients), not everyone chooses it as a career for various reasons
1. drawing blood from patients (i.e. being a phlebotomist)
2. volunteer in a hospital or clinic which allows one to have some patient interaction (not all volunteer positions allow patient interaction due to potential legal issues, so beware)
3. being a physical therapist, nurse or physician
