Juan’s Answer

If by position you mean physical position while welding, well I would say laying down, under the weld, on a scaffold 100 feet in the air, at night, in respiratory equipment, during a shut down at a refinery. I know that is alot, but bottom line, the more uncomfortable you are the harder it will be to weld. In our industry you never know where your weld will be. Could be on the ground in a scaffold hootch, in a shop, on a scaffold up in elevation, in a operating furnace where you can only weld for 10 mins because of extream heat, so you take a break while someone else jumps in there for 10 mins and so forth.
