How do I find a part time job working with a doctor/medical professional?

I'd love to learn more about the work that doctors/medical professionals do. I thought that finding a job working alongside a medical professional might help me learn. What options exist? #doctor #professor #medicine #hospital-and-health-care #hospitals #career #college #education

Hi Shravani, great to hear that you want to get involve in the health care field. Some practicals I can advice you is to ask if anyone you know may work in a doctor's office, hospital, or clinic can be useful in getting a job. You can also google and search within your area for any secretary position or administration jobs as well. You can also apply at a hospital and perhaps work in the kitchen and help with delivering food trays to patients or perhaps work in the dietary department of the hospital.
I hope this helps. Take care.

Laura’s Answer

Some hospitals and clinics use scribes that follow the healthcare provider around and write down what they say in regards to their patient (physical exam findings, diagnoses, etc,). You don’t have to have any medical knowledge to be one as far as I know.

Laura recommends the following next steps:

Do a job search for “scribe”.
Look on hospital websites for scribe job postings.

Office work perhaps? Most doctors have an office and they need staff to help them run. This could provide indirect exposure.
