Christina Gail’s Answer

I was a Manager of a Rehab team - many of the therapists I worked with truly enjoyed working with patients. There are a variety of settings a PTA can work in including: skilled nursing facility, hospitals, acute care, school, or outpatient setting. I would recommend reaching out to a few PTA's in different settings to complete some observations.

Christina Gail recommends the following next steps:

Reach out to your network to see if anyone could connect you to a PTA
Research PTAs in the area
Ask to shadow them

Latonya’s Answer

I have been a Physical Therapist Assistant for 16 years and worked in many different settings. The thing I love the most about being a Physical Therapist Assistant is helping my patient's progress and reach their personal goals. My least favorite thing is the paperwork. We do not have as much paperwork as a PT but we have our fair share.
